Tornado siren testing to begin March 1

Preble County will begin monthly tornado siren testing on Wednesday, March 1, at noon. All sirens in the county are activated simultaneously.

On Wednesday, the City of Eaton will also conduct individual community siren testing as well. Residents will hear their sirens activated twice. This is to ensure that sirens are operating properly at both levels.

Residents are reminded monthly siren testing occurs on the first Wednesday of each month at noon, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, sirens will not be tested.
