Eaton Youth Center

Facility available for rentals

On Oct. 16, 1935, the then Eaton Village Council noted the need for a community center for youth. From this action came the Eaton Youth Center, which was dedicated on April 13, 1939. For many years it was a gathering place after football games, used for dances and meetings.

An addition dedicated on Feb. 22, 1970, added the large meeting room and kitchen.

Over the years, the Youth Center building has served as temporary headquarters for the Eaton Branch of the Preble County District Library, The Register-Herald newspaper, and the first Preble County YMCA.

The spacious remodeled facility located at 306 Seven Mile Drive (corner of W. Decatur St./Park Ave.) is currently used by various groups and organizations for meetings and classes of all sorts. It is also available for private party rentals. It has its own dedicated parking area, and the building capacity is 137 people. There is a full kitchen, men's and women's restrooms and the building is wheelchair accessible. The facility also has 20 banquet tables and 80 chairs available for use, new in 2021.

Rental fee for the Youth Center facility is currently $25/hour. Call 937-456-4125 to check for availability and/or schedule your event.
