Downtown Eaton Inc.’s traditional White Christmas Celebration will be back to kick off the holiday season, with a special parade welcoming Santa to Eaton on Friday evening, Nov. 24.

The annual White Christmas parade begins at 6 p.m. and features the arrival of Santa Claus, escorted to Preble County Courthouse Plaza by Hollingsworth-East Elementary School second graders and the Eaton High School Marching Band, who will provide musical entertainment for the evening event.

There will be free hot chocolate, candy canes, and ornaments for those who attend. Downtown businesses are encouraged to be open as shoppers continue their after-Thanksgiving holiday outings.

The public is invited to this evening of hot chocolate, candy canes, singing, giveaways and a countdown to light the downtown Christmas lights, including a special Christmas tree provided by Eaton Community of Faith Church.

The White Christmas event also serves as a kickoff to Fort St. Clair’s Whispering Christmas. After enjoying the event downtown, take a drive through the splendid holiday lights of Whispering Christmas, which will open for a preview (drive-through only) on Friday evening.
