Star Theatre movie opening delayed

On Wednesday, Aug. 10, Star Theatre representatives issued the following notice: 

"We had to push pause!

"The plan to open The Star Theatre at Eagle’s Point on Thursday, Aug. 11, has been delayed. The sound system was compromised by a technical failure and crews are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

"The Star has decided to postpone the opening to ensure guests will have the best possible experience at the theater and can enjoy our state of the art facility. A new date has not yet been announced and  will be communicated as soon as possible. This will not affect upcoming concerts scheduled at the theater as they use a separate sound system. Upcoming concerts include The Airforce Band of Flight, Aug. 25 and Twitty and Lynn on Sept. 14."
