Ball, Kirsch sworn in; Venable new Mayor

Preble County Probate Judge Jenifer Overmyer administers the oath of office for new Councilman Ball and Councilman Kirsch.

During a Monday, Dec. 4, meeting, councilmen Jim Ball and David Kirsch took the oath of office to kick off their new terms on Eaton City Council. Ball was elected, and Kirsch re-elected, in the Nov. 7, General Election. Preble County Probate Judge Jenifer Overmyer administered the oath in swearing in the two councilmen. 

Mayor Matt Venable

As its first order of business, council elected Matt Venable the new Mayor of the City of Eaton, and Venable conducted the remainder of the meeting. Incumbent Vice Mayor David Kirsch was elected to continue in that role. 

 

City Council continued its reorganization meeting following the selection of Mayor and Vice Mayor.

Council's next regular meeting is Monday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m.
